What is Solar?

Solar energy is brilliant in its simplicity. Solar panels are made of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight into DC power. When light hits a cell, it generates a small amount of electricity, typically 1 or 2 watts. Link these cells together and they produce large amounts of electricity.
